About Ann Ratcliffe
https://wc.rootsweb.com/trees/125662/I01802/anna-gunnell/individual
Appointed guardian to James, John, and Mary Ann Moxley on 26 June 1750. She may have been the mother of Thomas Moxley's older children: Joseph, Thomas, Elizabeth Moxley Daniel (O'Daniel), Jemima Moxley Windsor.
Ann [Smith? second wife] was alloted her dower in Thomas Moxley's estate: 23 October 1750 including two slaves, a feather bed and furniture, twelve hogs, a cow and yearling, a black horse branded with the letter "A", some pewter, wooden ware, two iron pots, a griddle, a looking glass, bible, and "two old hatts." She also received one-third use of a servant named William Connell worth sixteen shillings eight pence. Her sons James and John received four slaves to be divided between them, and James was alloted a sorrel horse.
Ann Gunnell claimed to have married Thomas Moxley. This may be provable. The Moxleys and other allied families are present, or at least owned land, in Kentucky with Robert Gunnell, and others.
