Biography

Abigail, the daughter of John Smith of Watertown and his wife Mary (Beech) Smith, was born in Watertown, Massachusetts on 29 June 1670.[1]

Abigail married John Winter. Proof of their marriage is established by records relating to her father's estate, that show that John Winter received £23.8.4 from his "loving brothers" Thomas Meads and John Pierce, as the whole of his wife's part of the £200 bond which was given to her father, John Smith of Watertown, in answer to a deed of sale of his home.[2]
