From Stirnet's "Thatcher1" page (link below): "Although the Harleian editor does entitle the section 'Thetcher-Thatcher', throughout the pedigree Visitation spells the family name as 'Thetcher'. We follow Berry in using 'Thatcher', partly because that is the spelling most used in cross-references to the family from elsewhere in the database and partly because that appears to be the version most used in more recent times."
