Somerville Genealogy and Somerville Family History Information

My Grandfather was James William Bossie Somerville. He married Johanna Hartung. He was born on 30th September 1882, and died after about 60 years whilst on holiday in Gordon's bay, near Cape Town, South africa. He was instrumental in forming Comrades of the Great War when he led Earl Haig off the ship at Cape Town. The family later moved to Bloemfontein where my mother grew up after being born in Kenilworth, Cape Town. Much later they moved to Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe where my Grandmother Hartung died some time after he had passed. I regret to say that I have very little information about my mother-s family except for the names of her 2 brothers and one sister. My Surname is MacLachlan and I am a member of geni.
