About the Singer surname

origine ?

EN: Abraham 'Avrum' SINGER of Omaha came to the US from Vasyl'kiv Kiev Ukraine with his wife, Bessie 'Bashi' KEZINSKY Singer.

Reportedly, the surname had been PATLASHENKO, but was changed to SINGER upon arrival in the US.

I understand from Igor PATLASHENKO that Jews living in Czarist Russia were limited to a territorial region of settlement known as the Chertá Osédlosti ('Pale of Settlement')..

In order to live in a big city (like Kiev), Russian Jews would purchase a Ukrainian surname (like PATLASHENKO).

So Wolf Baer PATLASHENKO'S actual Jewish surname might well have corresponded to the Americanized surname, SINGER.

BALÁZS Déri says :

An-Neg-Ha-Sha-yan-Na was leader of the tribe of A-Wa-Ha-Yad-Da-Ha in the time of the Exodus and became ancestor of the singhali nation ;- whom jews and christians call Nakhshon and Yehudah.

He might also have been the founder of SHANG dynasty direct descendants of which mixed with t'hai tribes may be song-hai nation coming from Song empire.

From this tribe may have come also An-Neg-Ha-Sha a friend of king A-Daya-Wa-De and king of arminians, and his son Eg-Han-Na-yan-Na last king of Shang state before defeated by Daya-De likely called by chinese Wu WANG about 1111 b.c. - like it is written in the Byble.
