The Progenitor of the Himyar’s who inhabited the eastern part of the peninsula.

The Qahtanites were engaged in agriculture and were tied to the soil on which they have spent much time and labour cultivating. Two of their most famous septs were:

1. the Himyar’s who inhabited the eastern part of the peninsula. 2. the Kahlan’s.
