11. WILLIAM Longespee (1176-Salisbury 7 Mar 1226, bur Salisbury Cathedral).
The Continuator of Florence of Worcester records that Richard I King of England arranged the marriage of "Willelmus comes Saresberiensis filius comitis Patricii…filiam" and "Wilelmo fratri suo notho cum comitatu" in [1196][547].
He is described as "avunculus" of Richard Earl of Cornwall, Comte de Poitou by Matthew Paris[548]. Earl of Salisbury 1196 by right of his wife.
