The death often given for him belongs to an entirely different family. None of the deaths for a Thomas Jackson seem to be a good match. So, currently, no death is known for him. When Ann died in 1890, she was described as the widow of Thomas George Phillips, so he predeceased her.
A Thomas George PHILLIPS died on the 26th March 1883, aged 74. He was a BUILDER & died of Paralysis at George Town. Informant was his son Thomas Phillips. A newspaper report adds that he was the youngest son of William PHILLIPS, of Brighton, England [so was born PHILLIPS, not JACKSON]
