There was a Thomas BELL [BEALL] baptized on that date at St. Andrew's the son of a James BELL and Helen PRINGLE [not Anne Marie CALVERT.] No one has provided evidence to date that this or any other James is the father of Ninian BEALL/BELL.

Skordas shows several men named Thomas Bell and Beale who entered the Province of Maryland between 1659 and 1680. The Thomas Bell who entered the province in 1680 is one and the same as Thomas Beall of "Loving Acquaintance " as proven by his unique signature mark on the deed in which he sold his headright upon arrival, the exact unique signature mark Thomas Beall of Prince George's County used in multiple deeds at Prince George's County. Thomas Beall of Prince George's County, was baptized Jan. 2, 1731at St. Andrews Parish, Scotland by his parents James Bell and Helen Ringaud.( also spelled Ringan, Ringen, Ringing and Ringon in the 6 other birth and marriage records she appeared in) .;Thomas Beall d. after 1732 MD; said to have m. twice in Scotland and twice in MD; his last wife was Elizabeth ; children from wills; mother and order of birth unknown:

Frederick Saunders was incorrect when he stated That James Bell and Helen Pringle baptized Thomas in 1632 at St. Andrews. The original record is viewable online at ScotlandsPeople and clearly reads " Helen Ringaud " as does the transcription. There was no Helen Pringle, a mistaken communique now misleading Bell/ Beall genealogists across the internet.
