Peter Dutton, son of Geoffrey, moved to Warburton towards the end of the reign of Edward I. He took the name Peter de Warburton, and from this time forward, his descendants took the name Warburton, even though they moved to Arley, in Aston, near to Budworth about the beginning of the reign of Henry VII.
