Additional Curator's Notes: Please do NOT merge this William with his father. This William was a knight, his father was a knight banneret. This William married Jane Holland, his father married Margaret de Heyton, Jane's widowed mother.. They both had sons named Richard. They are both buried at Canterbury Cathedral in Kent.

William Molyneux was the son of Sir William de Molyneux, Knight Banneret and first wife Johanna Ellal. He was born c.1330 in Lancashire, England. He married Jane Holland, the daughter and heir of Sir Robert de Holland and wife Margaret de Heyton (or Hetton). He was the father of Sir Richard Molyneux, Knight, High Sheriff of Lancashire.
