Nichols wrote about the family:
"Sibilla, his wife, survived him, and in 1214 married, secondly, Roger de Clifford, for which marriage that nobleman gave the King L1000. Roger de Clifford died 1231-2, in the lifetime of his elder brother Walter de Clifford, having had by the said Sibilla a son, Roger de Clifford, a Baron famous for his extraordinary experience in military affairs, ancestor of the Lords de Clifford. Will Chapman offers the following which indicates that there were two Sybils from different generations. I will try to sort this out by reference to Cockayne's The Complete Peerage. :
Sybil de Ewyas was born in 1178 at Ewyas, Herefordshire, England.2 She was the daughter of Robert de Ewyas and Petronilla (?). She married, firstly, Robert de Tregoz. She married, secondly, Roger de Clifford, son of Walter de Clifford and Agnes de Cuni, in 1230 at Ewyas Harold, Herefordshire, England.,1 She died in 1236 at Ewyas Harold, Herefordshire, England.

Timeline of Sudeley Castle, from the castle's website:
http://www.sudeleycastle.co.uk/history/timeline
1139: During the reign of King Stephen the Sudeley manor house was fortified. John revolted against the King and joined Matilda in her attempt to gain the English crown. Stephen seized Sudeley and made it a royal garrison – first destruction of the Castle which was then sited in the Hopyard Field.
1165: Ralph de Sudeley succeeded to Sudeley Castle and gave Toddington to his brother William, who assumed his mother’s name of Tracy and was the ancestor of the present Tracy family.
1170: William de Tracy was one of the four knights who murdered Thomas a Becket in Canterbury Cathedral
