John Austin Junior who fought in the French & Indian War as a young Corporal in the Virginia Militia under Colonel Washington and Colonel Byrd, and also fought, as an older man, in the Revolution as a Sargent-Major under General Washington. We believe he lived in Hanover County Virginia on lands boardering the Chikahominy awarded to him for his services to the Commonwealth of Virginia in both conflicts.
