His Widow applied for a Pension record saved and shows Samuels second wife that ended up widow which needs updated to the family book, The book has his Widow as unknown. Married Rachel Pugh 1810. About 1835 he moved his family to Jackson county, Arkansas. In the book Garner/Keene families published 1952, page 108 Elizabeth Garner and her two husbands Calvin Jackson and Archibald Oliver listed as Samuel Garners daughter and son inlaws.There was family that married cousins back then, William Wakefield Garner married his second cousin, He is Elizabeth Garners brother. William went to California with his brother for four years and his brother stayed in California and William came back with so much gold his wife could barely hold possibly because of his niece, Martha Jacksons Husband and her husbands father David G Martin owned gold mines. 1860 census shows Martha Jackson at five years old her mother Elizabeth Garner head of house hold and her older half siblings with last names Oliver. both husbands passed.
