About Rfn. Arthur Sidney Tuck
Arthur Sidney Morrison was born at Mangōnui in the Northland region of New Zealand's North Island on 29 October 1897 (reg. 1897/12935). His parents were Arthur Holyoake Morrison and Mary Alice Morrison (nee Gardner) who had married at Kaitāia in Northland, New Zealand on 6 January 1897. Arthur died on 30 November 1902 and in 1905 Mary remarried to John Thomas Tuck. Arthur sometimes used the name Arthur Sidney Morrison Tuck. He worked as a bushman. During World War I Arthur served with the New Zealand Rifle Brigade, 1st Battalion. He was wounded in action in France and died of his wounds at the 56th Casualty Clearing Station on 7 October 1918. 20-year-old Arthur was buried in the Grévillers British Cemetery [XVI. A. 6.].
