From the book "renewal" by the late David Aviram (Raw food Publishers, 1993), page 46:

"The second son of Rabbi David Halevi is a sixteenth Rabbi Shlomo Segal. It seems that the name was given to him after his grandfather, Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Levy. Rabbi Shlomo Halevi was killed along with his older brother, Rabbi Mordechai, when pogroms against the Jews of Lviv, Saturday 03/05/1664. this is not always tell of her Black Friday. "... masses of Christians around the city of Lviv gathered religious procession Jews rioted in the suburbs. Jewish guard standing next to a synagogue, succeeded in driving the mob gangs and farmers attackers. When they came to the students and the urban militia to restore order, also joined the mob. "בנו השני של רבי דוד הלוי בעל הט"ז הוא רבי שלמה סג"ל. נראה, כי שמו ניתן לו על שם סבו, רבי שלמה זלמן הלוי. רבי שלמה הלוי נרצח ביחד עם אחיו הבכור, רבי מרדכי, בעת פרעות ביהודי לבוב, בשבת 3.5.1664. קורות העיתים מספרות על אותה שבת שחורה. "...המוני נוצרים מסביבת העיר לבוב התכנסו לתהלוכה דתית והתפרעו ביהודים בפרבר העיר. משמר יהודי שעמד ליד בית הכנסת, הצליח להבריח את כנופיות האספסוף ואת האיכרים המתנפלים. כשבאו הסטודנטים והמיליציה העירונית, כדי להשליט סדר, הצטרפו גם הם לאספסוף. היהודים הוכרחו לסגת לאחור, ואז החל טבח איום. האספסוף התפרץ לבתי היהודים, רצח ובזז. ספרי תורה נקרעו לגזרים בבית הכנסת, כל כלי הקודש נופצו לרסיסים והחזן נהרג ליד ארון הקודש". מאה חללים - ובתוכם שני בניו של רבי דוד הלוי - וכמאתיים פצועים, זה היה קציר הדמים של אותה שבת.
