Pvt. Abraham Bachman Yoder

DAR A 129612, PA, 4th Battalion, Northampton County Militia. PVT,

Abraham Bachman Yoder was born 12/12/1747 in Upper Saucon Twp.,Bucks,PA and died 12/30/1820. He married Maria (Mary) Sell (Daughter of Hendrick Van Sintern Sell & Maria Schell.) On Apr. 12, 1768 he bought 203 acres of land in Upper Saucon Twp from his father for the sum of 40 pounds. In 1791, he was one of the executors of the will of his nephew, Michael Shelly. In 1794, he was one of the executors of the will of his brother-in-law, Valentine Noldt. In 1798, he was one of the executors of the will of his brother, Casper. He and his wife were members of the Saucon Mennonite Church and are buried there. (Row 1, east side of Saucon Church.)
