Peter Cornellus Poling

This is Petrus "Peter" Cornelius Poling. He is the son of Martin Poling (1708–1770) and Sarah Wells (1710-1782). He married Hannah C. (Barnett) Poling (1745-1765).

In 1815 the tax book of Randolph County, Va. lists Peter Poling, Martin and John for 500 acres of land on the waters of Teters Creek. Since no deed was recorded for this property the assessor made a note in his books "They live there."
