Peter Montague, youngest son of William Montague, married Elanor Allen in 1593 in Burnham, Boven, England. She was the daughter of William Allen of Buruham, Bucks.

Peter moved his family from Boveney to Warfield, Berkshire, where his youngest 3 children were born, before 1614. In 1630 he and his wife are on a list of assigned church seats. Peter's will was proved March 15 1638/39 in Warfield.

Peter Montague (d. 1638) and his wife Elanor Allen had the following children: [1]

  1. William, baptized March 6 1596/7 in Boveney and inherited his uncle William's estate in Boveney. Before 1606 part of the extate was sold to Thomas Eyre of East Burnham, showing that family fortunes may have taken a downturn and therefore gave a reason for 2 of William's brothers to immigrate to the new world. William had three sons, George, William and Robert.
  2. Peter Montague, who went to Virginia in America.
  3. Richard Montague, baptized May 29 1614 in Warfield, who went to New England in America.
  4. Robert Montague, baptized January 27 1621/22 in Warfield. He had 4 sons, 2 listed in his mother's will (William and Henry).
  5. Elizabeth Montague,
  6. Anne Montague,
  7. Margaret Montague, baptized March 8 1617 in Warfield.
