Marie Josephe Girard was born 18 Apr 1725 at Varennes, baptised at Ste Anne on 19 Apr. She was the daughter of Étienne Girard and Geneviève Brunel. She was married to Jean Francois Besset, veuf Marie Legrain, on 4 May 1751 (Source?). She was the mother of five children, three of whom died in infancy. She died at age 35, 9 March 1761, and was buried at St-Mathias-sur-Richelieu (St-Mathias-de-la-Pointe-Olivier).
