  • Pionnière de la Nouvelle-France. Arrive au Québec probablement en 1639 avec son mari.
  • Date de décès possiblement : 1) 29 jan 1652; 2) c juin 1653; 3) c mai 1660
    • Note in Ancestry.com says she died after an attack by Iroquis Indians.
    • Madeleine Charlot was captured by the Hurons on 5th May 1660, she got away but was dangerously wounded, dying later. Cause of death: From wounds received duing her captivity by the Hurons.
      • Curator Note: Being captured by the Hurons in 1660 seems unlikely. The Hurons nation (Huronie) was destroyed by the Iroquois in 1650. The few survivors in l'Ancienne-Lorette near Québec. It is not impossible but unlikely that those survivors would capture and harm local French Canadians. To be investigated.
