Katherine Tyrwhitt was born circa 1511 at of Kettleby, Lincolnshire, England.1,2 She married Sir Richard Thimbleby, Sheriff of Lincolnshire, son of Sir John Thimbleby and Margaret Bois, circa 1530; They had 3 sons (Edward; John, Esq; & Richard) and 4 daughter (Anne, wife of William Joe; Elizabeth, wife of John St. Paul, of Thomas Welby, Esq., & of William Whitt; Mary, wife of Edward Skipwith; & Margaret, wife of Michael Empingham).[1][2][3][4][5]
Origins
Sir Robert Tyrwhitt, the only son of Wiliam Tyrwhitt and Anne Constable, was knighted, and sheriff of Lincolnshire, 15 Hen. VIII. and by his wife, the daughter of Sir Gilbert [sic: Robert] Tailboys, of Kyme, in com. Line. Knt. had issue, three sons; and six daughters;
- Sir William, of Kettleby.
- Sir Robert, who left only a daughter and heir, Catherine, married to Henry Darcy, Esq; son and heir to Sir Arthur Darcy, Knt. second son to Thomas, lord Darcy.
- 3. Philip, of whom hereafter.
The daughters were,
- Anne, married to Bolles, of Hough, Esq;
- Agnes, married to William, son and heir to Sir William Hansard, Knt.
- Elizabeth (c), to William Monson, of South-Carleton,Esq;
- Catherine, to John, son and heir to Sir Richard Thimelby, Knt.
- Margaret, to Matthew St. Paul, of Snarford, Esq; and
- Maud, to George Portington, of Sawcliff, Esq; all in the county of Lincoln.

Maud TAILBOYS [daughter of Sir Robert Tailboys and Elizabeth Heron] ] 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 was born 1483 in Kyme, Lincolnshire, England. She married Sir Robert TYRWHIT Knight (b.c. 1480 - d. 4 Jul 1548) on 1501 in Kettleby, Lincolnshire, England. He was the son of William Tyrwhit (d. 9 April 1522) and Anne Constable.
They had the following children:
