Children
To Sir John Wallace and Margaret Lindsay, spouses, was born a son, John. As "Sir John Wallace" he had a charter of the lands of Thuriston, in the barony of Innerwick; also of twenty merks of annual-rent out of the lands of Thornyle, in the barony of Renfrew, and eight merks of annual-rent out of the lands of Ingliston, in the barony of Durisdeer and county of Dumfries; together with the lands of Retre (Rattray) in the earldom of Buchan. Prior to 1390 Sir John Wallace witnessed a charter confirming grants of various lands in Kyle, executed by John Stewart, Earl of Carrick, afterwards Robert III. He married Lady Margaret Stewart, who, on the 6th April 1399, gave two merks to the Preaching Friars of Glasgow. To Sir John Wallace and Lady Margaret Stewart were born two sons, Hugh and William.
