At the time of her father's death in 1602, Joan was unmarried. He made her a legatee, along with her sisters Ann and Alice. [1]
She married William Bigges on 24 July 1622 in the nearby village of Quinton, Gloucestershire. [2]
Origins
John Tomes and Ellen Gunne were married about 1586. Their children were born in Marston Sicca, Gloucestershire, which is now Long Marston, Warwickshire.
