Joan was the daughter of Henry Fitzhenry and Joan de Fourneux.
She first married William Fitzralph Greystoke. After his death she married Sir Anthony de Luci (nephew of her husband's first wife Lucy de Lucy). After his death in the Holy Lands in 1368 she married Sir Matthew de Redman or Redmayne IV (born before 1329 at Levens hall, Cumbria) who died in 1390. He was governor of Roxburgh and Berwick.
Her children with Sir Greystoke were:
1-Ralph de Greystoke (born Oct 18 1353 in Kirby, Ravenswor, Yorkshire) 1418 Ravensworth married Catherine de Clifford
2-Alice de Greystoke (born abt 1355 in Greystoke, Northumberland) 1377 married Sir Robert de Harrington and died soon after
3-William de Greystoke (born abt 1357 in Greystoke, Northumberland)
4-Robert de Greystoke (born abt 1359 in Greystoke, Northumberland) married Elizabeth de Neville
Lucy was buried in the Clerkenwell Parish of London. There is only one churchyard cemetery dating to medieval times- St. James. A more logical assumption (since she was the widow of a knight) might be that she was buried in the crypt of Clerkenwell Priory Church of St. John (originally for the Knights of St. John and rebuilt as a second parish church for Clerkenwell). However, Findagrave makes no mention of the Priory having a burial ground. Therefore she is being placed in St. James unless further information becomes available regarding the Priory Crypt. Findagrave may be calling it the Hospitallers. Additionally, St. James Church and St. James Cemetery appear to be the same place.
