About James Waugh McKnight
Brother James Waugh McKnight was born in County Antrim, Ireland, and quietly fell asleep in the Napier hospital, N.Z., December 9, 1924 at the ripe old age of eighty-seven years. The message found Brother McKnight when a deacon in the Presbyterian Church thirty six years ago. By only six months he missed being one of the charter members of the Napier church. He was baptised at the same time as Pastor Frank Lyndon and others. Our aged brother carried church responsibilities for many years and very precious to him was the hope of translation. Lately, however, as the infirmities of age increased he longed to be laid to rest. Four sons and two daughters are left to mourn the loss of a kind Christian father. Words of hope and comfort were spoken by the writer at the graveside. S. W. CARR. Seventh–day Adventist Church Australian Record Vol. 30. No. 11. Sydney, Monday, March 15, 1926.
