Biography
Jacob Wilkin was born in June 1790 in Lost River, Virginia (now West Virginia). He was the son of George Wilkin and Lydia Wise.
He married Mary C. Fravel about 1817 in Virginia (source needed).

“The Jacob Wilkin family came from Lost River, WV to Muskingum Co., Ohio, in 1837 and later settling near Nashport . Afterwards they moved to Hayden Run near Hilliard, Frank lin Co., Ohio. He was a blacksmith by trade and she a skilled tailoress. They died at the latter place. Their children were all born at Lost River, W. Va."
