Jacob Burgoon was the son Jacob Burgoon Sr and Elizabeth Callaway or Goody Both from Petit-Rederching, Betviller, Metz Alsace France now Part Of Germany they were married on the way over to America. Jacob is one of 8 children. he Married Twice first to Prudence Ann Baker in 1775 and then he Married Martha Lilly in Nov 11 1806 at the age of 59 years old. They Moved to Huntington Pennsylvania record show in 1790 was in the military in 1812. He had 19 Children that we know of between both wifes and over 100 grand children. He passed away at the age 91 years old in 1838 and had his last child shorty before that in 1829. I think he laid rest at Saint Vincent Cemetery. It is said that many other Burgoons are shown on the Loretto Records but it is hard to say which ones belong to Jacob or John Burgoon. So there might have been more children then the once below. Father Gallitzin was traveling a lot back then and didn't always keep records.
