Hawise de Ferrieres, Countess of Derby

It seems the wife of Robert de Ferrers could be Hawise de Vitre OR Hawise de Lavall. See Medlands below:

ROBERT de Ferrers, son of HENRI Seigneur de Ferrières et de Chambrais & his wife Bertha --- (-1139). “Henricus de Ferrariis” founded a church “apud castellum meum Tuttesbury”, for the souls of “…uxoris mee Berte et filiorum meorum Engenulphi W, Roberti ac filiarum mearum…”[305]. He succeeded his father in 1101 in the greater part of his English possessions. “Robertus comes de Ferrariis” donated property to Tutbury Priory by undated charter after succeeding “in hereditatem bonæ memoriæ Henrici patris mei”[306]. The 1130 Pipe Roll records "Robt de Ferrar" in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire in respect of "Werchesworda" and in Staffordshire[307]. He was created Earl of Derby by King Stephen: Richard Prior of Hexham’s De Gestis Regis Stephani et de Bello Standardii records that King Stephen created "Robertum de Ferrers" as "in Derbiensi-scyra [comes]" after the battle of the Standard in Aug 1138[308]. m HAWISE, daughter of ---. “Robertus junior comes de Notingham” donated property to Tutbury Priory by charter dated 1141 which names “Hauwisiæ matris meæ”[309]. The Complete Peerage identifies her as Hawise de Vitré, daughter of André [I] Seigneur de Vitré & his wife Agnès de Mortain, but cites no supporting evidence[310]. Europäische Stammtafeln[311] identifies her as Hawise de Laval, daughter of Guy [II] Seigneur de Laval & his second wife Cecilia ---, although the primary source on which this is based has not yet been identified. According to Domesday Descendants[312], "there is no convincing evidence as to her identity".

You are descended from Hawise de Vitré through two different lines--both from her son Robert and her daughter UNKNOWN.

daughter of (1) Andre1 and (AAR-4)

Agnes (de MORTAIGNE) VITRÉ, was born circa 1069, and died between 1100 and 1179. She married circa 1087, (NV-2) ROBERT DE FERRERS of Derbyshire, son of (NV-1) Henry and Bertha (ROBERTS) FERRERS, who was born circa 1062, was christened in Charterley, Staffordshire, England, and died in 1139.

3. ROBERT I2 DE VITRÉ (Andre1), son of (1) Andre1 and (AAR-4) Agnes (de MORTAIGNE) VITRÉ, was born between 1068 and 1104, and died between 1082 and 1214. He married EMMA DE LA GUERCHE.
