    Gertrude von Sachsen was born before 1113. She is the daughter of Lothair II von Sachsen, Holy Roman Emperor and Richenza von Sachsen. (1) She married Heinrich X Herzog von Bayern, son of Heinrich IX Herzog von Bayern and Wolfhildis von Sachsen, on 29 May 1127 at Gunziclech, Swabia. She married Heinrich II Jasomirgott Herzog von Österreich, son of Leopold III 'the Saint' Markgraf von Österreich and Agnes Salian, on 1 May 1142. She died on 8 April 1143.

Gertrud of Süpplingenburg (18 April 1115 – 18 April 1143) was the only child of Emperor Lothar III (Lothar of Süpplingenburg), Duke of Saxony, and his wife Richenza of Northeim.

On May 29, 1127, she married the Welf Henry the Proud, who had been Duke of Bavaria since 1126. After the death of his father-in-law, Henry also became Duke of Saxony. He and Gertrud were the parents of Henry the Lion, Duke of Saxony and Bavaria.

After Henry's death in 1139, Gertrud married again, on May 1, 1142, to Henry II, the Margrave of Austria (d. 1177).

Gertrud, auch Gertraud (* 18. April 1115; † 18. April 1143) war das einzige Kind des Kaisers Lothar III. (Lothar von Süpplingenburg), Herzog von Sachsen, und der Richenza von Northeim.

Sie heiratete am 29. Mai 1127 auf dem Gunzenle den Welfen Heinrich den Stolzen, der seit 1126 Herzog von Bayern war und nach dem Tod seines Schwiegervaters auch Herzog von Sachsen wurde. Heinrich und Gertrud sind die Eltern des Sachsen- und Bayernherzogs Heinrich der Löwe.

Nach Heinrichs Tod 1139 heiratete Gertrud am 1. Mai 1142 in zweiter Ehe Heinrich II. Jasomirgott, den Markgrafen von Österreich († 1177).
