George Ludwig Horning, 20, arrived in Philadelphia on 11 Aug 1732 on board ship "Samuel" from Rotterdam, Holland via Cowes, England. PA Archives, Second Series.

Ludwig Horning married Catharine Keyser, daughter of Peter Dirck Keyser, about 1734, and together they had 8 known children: Barbara, Peter, Margaret, Michael, Elizabeth, John, Elias & Jacob.

Ludwig Horning purchased 137 acres in Perkiomen & Skippack Twp., Philadelphia Co., PA in 1738. He purchased an additional 50 acres in Perkiomen & Skippack in 1757. He also purchased 152 acres in Providence Twp., Philadelpha Co., PA in 1765. Philadelphia County Deed Books.
