One source, Paul L. Bourassa Jr., has detailed Jacques & Francoise Fouchard as the progenitors of both the immigrant ancestors in Québec. Although I have not seen this documented anywhere else, I am mentioning the proposed relationship here. He indicates that he has no proof of this relationship, but that proximity and relationships both in France and Canada certainly hint that they were related. A later researcher apparently found a number of dates in the Vendee records.
