The Abarbanel Family Scroll alludes to Ezra being part of the chain of tradition in Spain. According to available resources, the only Jew named Ezra was Ezra ibn Shaprut. This was found in an undated handwritten manuscript from the collection of the late Rabbi Shmuel Gorr, held by Chaim Freedman.
