Alexios III Angelos (c. 1153 – 1211), raised to sebastokrator by his brother Isaac II Angelos, usurped the throne from him in 1195. Generally an inept and pleasure-loving ruler, he reigned until he fled before the attacks of the Fourth Crusade happening in the year1203.
