Miss Ella Frances Hudspeth was born on November 28, 1918 in Springfield, Robertson County, Tennessee, the daughter of William Pierce Hudspeth (1895–1972) and his 1st wife Alma May (Baker) Hudspeth (1894–1962).

She attended public schools in Nashville and was employed by Equifax-Retail Credit Company for 45 years. She was state president of Georgia Business & Professional Women (BPW) in 1962-63, Buckhead BPW president in 1959-60, vice president & treasurer of Nashville BPW in 1953-54, president of Atlanta Women's Chamber of Commerce in 1966-67 and the US hostess & delegation leader of Goodwill People to People Travel Program in 1964. She was also instrumental in creating Georgia's State Commission on the Status of Women.

A member of Second Ponce de Leon Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia, Ella was 75 years old when she passed away on December 1, 1993.

Survivors included her sisters Euline H Behm and Arnelle Brantley, nieces Kathy Celauro, Patricia Rowe, Donna Reed, Amy Restarick and Gayle Riggins and nephew Lee Brantley.

Funeral Services were held on December 3rd, and burial was in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Nashville.
