About Elizabeth Ohrndorff
Elizabeth, at about 5 years of age, was the youngest of the Seibert children taken by the Shawnee Indians after the massacre at Fort Seybert, Augusta Co VA - 28 April 1758. Her parents and at least one grandparent were slain on that day. It is not clear as to exactly when she managed to escape, or if she was forced to remain with the Indians until freed some years later. Whatever the case, she lived to tell the tale.
