Dr, Robert Lundy Smith identified Elizabeth Lundy, here treated, as the daughter of Robert Lundy of Benholm. Lundie of Benholm This is quite wrong, however. She is in fact the daughter and heiress of William Lundy of Benholm. NRS: GD4/30

Elizabeth Lundy, here treated is the daughter and heiress of William Lundy of Benholm. NRS: GD4/30 She had a precept of clare constat for her father lands from Chancery on 11 April 1565 and took sasine of the same on 10 May 1565. NRS: GD4/31

Marriage

Elizabeth Lundy married Robert Keith, son of William Keith, the Earl Marshall. On 13 June 1566 she resigned her father's land to the crown in order to obtain a new grant in favour of herself and her husband. NRS: GD4/61
