Biography

Elizabeth Branch (daughter of Thomas Branch and Elizabeth Archer) was born 1690 in Henrico, Virginia, and died November 30, 1766 in Whitby, Chesterfield, Virginia [6]. She married 1st Robert Goode in 1710, 2nd Page Punch Bet. 1718-1726 [11]; 3rd Edward Curd in 1727 in Goochland, Virginia, son of William Curd and Elizabeth (Curd). Proof of Elizabeth Branch's three marriages comes in this way. Thomas Branch in his will dated December 4, 1727 names his daugher Elizabeth Punch. In a record for an Orphan's Court held for Henrico Co., October 5, 1725 is mention of Page Punch who intermarried with Elizabeth, relict of Robert Goode decd [7]

Robert Goode in 1710 with his brother Thomas Goode made their wills within one week of each other and both were dead within two months ? their wills being both proved the same day. The will of Robert Goode, of Henrico County, dated May 25, 1718, names sons Robert and Francis Goode; sister Ann and wife Elizabeth who is named sole executrix [8]. The will of Page Punch, of Henrico, dated August 31, 1726, probated November 6, 1727, names daugher Mary (underage); son-in-law [step-son] Robert Goode, wife [name not given] sole executrix [9]

Page Punch left a will in Henrico County is dated 31 Aug. 1726, [12]

Edward Curd, of Henrico, will is dated February 4, 1739-40, probated December 1742, names son Edward Curd, my wife [name not given]; son John Curd; son Richard Curd; to Mary Mackbride, and her son Edward Mackbride, my daughter-in-law [step-daughter] Mary Punch; grandson John Curd; grandaughter Jane Mackbride; daughter Mary Richardson; daughter Elizabeth Williams [10]

Edward Curd held 531 acres on Beaver Dam Creek 31 October 1716 [13], 341 acres on Beaver Dam [14] and 1,200 acres on Castle Branch in Henrico County 22 February 1724/5, and a nearby 400 acres 17 August 1725, [13,14]
