MEMORIAL PHOTOS 0 FLOWERS 1 Edna was the daughter of John Higgins (1801–1873) and his wife Mary Landridge (1802-1885). Edna married Cyrus WICAL on March 1, 1853, in Johnson County, Iowa. Four children were born to the marriage: Clarissa (1854-1907), Edward (born 1855), Franklin (1856-1950), and Daniel (1857-1881). In 1860, the young family was in Pleasant Valley, Johnson County, Iowa. Her husband was farming. Then, the Civil War happened. On August 26, 1862, her husband enlisted in the Iowa 22nd Infantry Regiment. He was killed in action in Winchester, Virginia, on September 19, 1864. Edna was 31. In about 1878, she married John Corfman, a man twice widowed who was the father of 13 children.
