About Edmund Pecche
As for Maud de Hastings' younger son, Edmund Pecche, either he or his son of the same name is probably the Edmund Pecche who with a wife Margaret conveyed the manor and advowson of Felsham, Suffolk in 1313– 1314 to Hugh de Morieux and his son John. Unfortunately, the sale of the manor prevents further knowledge of this family. Whatever the case, Edmund Pecche appears to be a different individual than the Edmund Pecche who held the manor of Eye (in Horningsea), Cambridgeshire in 1279. This Edmund Pecche, of Eye, died in 1285, and was succeeded by his son, Thomas Pecche, Knt., who held the fee of the Bishop c.1303.
Edmund Earl of Cornwall granted, in 24 Edw. I., the wardship of William de Leach to John de Walcot, which belonged to him on account of the custody of Thomas son and heir of Sir Edmund Peche Kt.[1]
