Edmund married Mildred Herriford on April 8, 1800 in Shelby County, Kentucky. Together they had the following children:
- Richard Curd 1801–1876
- Charles Curd;
- Sarah (Sally) Curd;
- Capt. Edward Curd;
- Eliza Smith Starks;
- Jane Imes (Curd).
Edmund married Mary "Polly" Curd in 1818 in Robertson Co., TN. Together they had the following children:
He died on August 18, 1846 in Wadesboro, Calloway, Kentucky, USA and was buried after August 18, 1846 in Marshall County, Kentucky, USA.
Long time CURD family researchers have stated that our Edmund once thought to be the son of Charles Curd Charles Curd was actually the son of his brother William and a second wife, Ann Warren.
