    John Denyson, living at Stortford in 1567, d. there of plague, and was buried Dec. 4, 1582. He m. Agnes___________, who, after his death, m. May 3, 1584, John Gace, for by his will proved in 1602, he mentions George, Edward and William Denyson, children of my wife, also Elizabeth Crough, a daughter of my wife.

It is not known where he was born but probably about 1530." He bought a home and land in Bishop's Stortford from John and Joan Chandler in 1563. He was shown as a "collector for the poor" in Bishop's Stortford in 1566. Was a member of St.
Michael's Church in that city. Will dated 10 Nov 1582, probated 1 Mar 1582/83. The will mentioned his wife Agnes; sons John, William, and Edward; unnamed daughters; unborn child; and siblings William, Jane, and Agnes. He died of the plague and
was buried in Bishop's Stortford on 4 Dec 1582..
