David Heinrich Price

This message was received by myself, personally, from the co- founder of the Descendants of Heinrich Preisch Homepage and Facebook group, Robin R. Scott.

They have listed all of the "proven" children, of David and Agnes. These are people who have been researching these lines for decades and are the "aficionados" on the subject, for U.S. research, of these lineages.

The following, are the names of all of David and Agnes' children. Period. "Theresa, you are awesome, but i have to make a correction on that last line about Anna's siblings... there is no William... and there is no Johann Heinrich nor J Henry Price... :-( it's just Henricus.. Anna, Michael, Augustine, Daniel and Henricus. :-)"

Note: All of the following- are message board posts, mostly, from other descendants searching for the "right answers". With that said, much of the information listed below, is FAULTY and has ERRORS and is not to be copied in directly, to any trees or branches. It is copied in here, simply as an inspiration or a lead to other possible Preisch cousins, also, searching, for the right answers.

My family tree goes like this: Johan Henrich Preisz (Price)born 1644 in Germany married Elizabeth Becker, Adam Heinrich "David" Price born 1688 Germany married Agnes Hoffman of Germany, Johan Henrich "Henry" Price born sept 8, 1725 in Germany married Mary Magadelene of Germany,Adam Price born July 10, 1760 in Virginia married Catherine Elizabeth Miller Born 1766 in Virginia, Adam Clark Price Sr. born Aug 1803 in Virginia married Susan Rosenberger on October 14, 1833. I am also decended from Johan Heinrich. I have the full family tree from Johan down to my children. (5700 names)..I am looking for Johan's parents. I have copies of actual German marriage and baptismal records of David and Agnes Preisch, their children, and the family register starting with Johan and Elisabetha Becker (Beckeria). What I am most concerned with is Johans parents. The actual spelling of the name Preisch was actually spelled Breisch. If you have any info on his parents, I would appreciate it greatly.

I just found out that my ancestors are from Germany on my dad's mother's side of the family.

Daniel (Jr) Tawney's mother was Elizabeth Price,

her father David Price b. 1744, Augusta Co. VA,

his father was John Michael Price b 9 Oct 1718,

Germany, his mother Margaret Killian,b.1721 Germany,

John Michael Prices' father David PREISCH,

John's mother Agnes Hoffman b. Germany,

have more details, Margaret Killian's father

Andreas Killian b. 1702 Germany, his father

Johannes Philip Wolfgang Kilian b. Germany,

Johannes' wife Anna Dorothea Warnberger.

Johannes' father Phillip Kilian/mother Susanna

Lotter.... Phillip's father Wolfgang Killion,

Hans Kilian b. abt 1516 Germany also.

was b. bef 8 Sep 1726, Offenback, Germany d. 1797 Rockingham, VA.

parents were David PREISCH b. abt 1692, Offenbach (landau, Rheinland, Pfalz, Germany,

mother(of Johan) Agnes Hoffman b. abt 1696 Offenbach (landau, Rheinland, Pfalz, Germany.

Agnes Hoffman's parents were Heinrich (Henricus) Hoffman and mother was Anna Elizabetha (last name unknown.)

Found info on Ancestry.com. under Agnes Hoffman.

Martha, Thank you for the info. I too, have all of the information from Johannes Preisch forward, I have a Preisch web page with lots of pics and almost 6400 names now. Johan Heinrich (Henry) was my 6th Great Grandfather. What I am looking for is anything from Johannes Preisch backwards. right now I am researching the Moravian and Bohemian migration. It has been very difficult in trying to find anything from Johannes before 1644. I noticed your last name was Williams. Henry Preisch/Price married a Mary Magdalena Wilhelm/Williams. Her mother was Catherine Harmon/Hermann, and her father was Heinrich Wilhelm. Her name was mentioned in her grandfathers will, as Madalena Price. I have loads of Williams info too. Let me know if you would like to view the page I have. Which child do you descend from? Anna? Johan Michael? Augustine? Daniel? or Henry?

Looking for the parents of HENRY PRICE, born around 1769 around Winchester ? He married Catherine Wax in Winchester VA. He traveled moving along counties of Interstate 81 in VA. ending up in TN. My family comes from the Price/Preiss/Preish from Germany.

John Michael Price b. 9 Oct 1718 Offenback, Germany d. 1802 Prices Fork, Montgomery County, VA

married bet. 1740-1745 to Margaret(ha) Killian, she b. 1721 Rheinpfalz, Germany d. aaft 1758

children: (My family from David Price, brother to David is Henry David Preiss(Price)

b. 1759 Gaheysville, Rockingham, VA died 1828 IN, have not further on him.

Surnames: Price, Jones, Rothrock, Neff

Wondering if you have the childrens names for David who died in Indiana. I have 4 Price's in Indiana and am at a brick wall. They are all siblings, but do not know who their parents were. They are Peter Price born 1799 m. Asenath Rothrock in PA, Nancy Price born 1815 m. Thomas Jones, Benjamin Price born 1806 never married, and Susan Price m. John Neff. Any info would be appreciated. I am looking for information on Peter Price b:abt 1777 in possibly VA married a Mary Williams moved to Ohio, Indiana and Illinois D in Il in 1838. If you are willing to share information going back, it would be great! Also, did anyone follow the lines down? My grandmother never knew her father James E. Price, and Job and his family are so far elusive on the 1870 and 1880 census. I do have a bit of information on David, Samuel, and David-

I am looking for information on Margaret Killian, her husband and her children. I am willing to share information.

Translated from the original marriage register in Offenbach it states: "27 June 1713 was performed by the minister - "was married before me David Preisch and Agnes Hoffmann and they were both Catholic."

Of note, Agnes Hoffmann was christened on August 25, 1686.

David and Agnes had 6 children. Their names were:

1. Anna Margaretha Preisch, Sept. 21, 1713 (Agnes was apparently pregnant with Anna when she and David were married).

2. Daniel Preisch, July 14, 1715 and died February 14, 1722 (note, this is the FIRST Daniel and these are his dates of birth and death. Several websites have this one confused with his younger brother below and have the dates SO very wrong).

3. Johan Michael Preisch, October 9, 1718.

4. Augustine Preisch, May 31, 1722 (there is NO William in his name. It is just Augustine. NOT William Augustine, just... Augustine).

5. Daniel Preisch (named after the deceased Daniel as per German custom), April 10, 1724.

6. Henricus (Henry) Preisch, Sept 8, 1726 (Henry's name was Henricus in the church register or the German, Heinrich, but there is NO JOHN or JOHAN before his name).

David and Agnes were married for 22 years. He died on July 11, 1735.

Everything above is documented in the Offenbach church register
