She was the wife of Sir John Norton, the son and heir to Sir John Norton and Joan Pigot.

“Sir Roger de Ward, Knight, married [Elinor, daughter to Sir Thomas Constable, Knight,] Joan Tunstall, and had issue, Christopher, who succeeded him; Simon, who died without issue; Margaret, married to Sir John Cogniers, Knight, alias Norton, of Norton; she died 1520, and lies at Warke; Robert, John, and Elizabeth died young.
