Mr Cyril G. Ricks of Hanley Rd, Southampton served aboard the Celtic prior to the Titanic. According to Frank Prentice he, Ricks and M. Kieran jumped from the stern in the final moments of the sinking, but Ricks was knocked unconsious from striking debris. He died a short time later.
(Daily Sketch 18 April 1912) His body was later recovered by the Mackay-Bennett (#100) and buried at sea.
