wikipedia, memoriam-biography, hirnok-enciklopedia: Lilly was the 1st Hungarian woman Pilot of the Austrio-Hungarian Monarchy. She decided to become a pilot at an international aviation contest which took place in Budapest during the summer of 1910. She studied aviation at Wienerneustadt, received the Nr. 4. aviation certificate on August 15, 1912, and was immediately hired by an Austrian aviation firm. Lilly took part in various domestic and Austrian aviation contests and parades, and tried to enlist as a pilot during WW1. Her application was refused, and she was offered nursing instead.
