Charles Lucien Shinault

Birth: Sep. 24, 1921 Booneville Prentiss County Mississippi, USA Death: Mar. 31, 2004 Gulf Shores Baldwin County Alabama, USA

Son of Charles R. and Gwendolyn Sutherland Shinault. Two brothers Ottie W. (twin) and Jerome P. Shinault. Received multiple medals, including two Distinguished Flying Crosess and a Purple Heart, as a WWII B-17 Pilot (8th Air Force, 96th Bomb Group, 3rd Division) flying the 'Sittin' Pretty'. In Sept 1953 he married Bettie Sue Norris of Mobile AL. Their children are Elisabeth Camille Oliver (Stephen Leon), League City TX, Patricia Charline Shinault, Mobile AL and Alison Diane Inscore (David Harold),Fairhope AL. He retired from the FAA Houston Air Traffic Control Center in the early 80's and moved to Gulf Shores AL. Grandchildren: August Mitchell Oliver (Meagan Barclay) of Friendswood TX, Aimee Charline Inscore and Alison Ruth Inscore of Fairhope AL.
