Boren, Charles--Pendelton County, Virginia--Pension Statement
Applicant 72 years of age, served 3 months in 1777 as a private under Capt. James Parsons; stationed at Wheeling under Colonel Shepherd after Foreman's defeat; served six months in the Virginia Militia in 1780 or 1781; a part of the time he served under Captain Hamilton and Colonel Benjamin Harrison; received discharge form Lieutenant Joseph Nevill.
On November 10, 1803, Charles Boren was given a 95 acre land grant in Christian County, Kentucky, along the Cumberland River.
