Celina Boozer's daughter, Nancy Elizabeth Boozer Vinson, feared that her children's problems with "nerves" (some had anxiety attacks) were the result of her parents being first cousins.

The two married when he was 24 and she was 19. The Rev. David Boozer died less than a month after his wife. They had been married 53 years.
