Cathrina, daughter of Elias Middagh and Sara Van Aken Wife of Jesse Keeney, Sr.

Elias married Sara Van AKEN on 28 Sep 1777. Sara was born on 25 Jun 1757 in Orange, New York, British Colonial America. She was christened on 25 Jun 1757 in Dutch Reformed Church,Machackemeck,Orange,New York. She died before 1819 in New York.

Elias and Sara had the following children:

iii. Cathrina "Catherine" MIDDAUGH was born on 13 Sep 1781 in Machackemeck, Orange, New York, United States. She died on 12 Aug 1848 in Mill Creek, Tioga, Pennsylvania, United States.

Christening Witnesses: Cornelius and Cathrina Van Aken.

Date of marriage based on an e-mail message from Roland Elliott dated 6/11/1998. Cathrina died 12 Aug 1848 in Mitchell Creek, Tioga, PA.

The date and place of her death also was supplied by Mr. Elliott in the previously mentioned e-mail message. He did not include any supporting documentation or references in his message.

Cathrina is also listed as a child of Elias MIDDAUGH in his, Elias’ will. In Mr. Elliott’s message he states that Cathrina married Jesse KINNEY in March of 1799. Supporting this claim is DAR record #19418 (Volume 20, page 155) which indicates Catherine MIDDAUGH did marry a Jesse KENNEY.
